BRUSH NO. 152
Help keep your makeup brushes free of dirt and bacteria with these simple tips:
- Rinse the brush with warm water with the brush hairs pointing downward – this will help prevent any water from damaging the ferrule (metal part) or the brush handle.
- Apply a mild liquid soap or shampoo on the brush hairs, from base to tip. Gently massage the hairs from ferrule (metal part) to hair tips over and over while adding a little warm water each time. Rinse and repeat until the water runs clear, making sure to always keep the brush hairs pointing downward.
- Gently brush them on a clean paper towel and lay them to dry on their side on a fresh, dry paper towel. Never let them dry with brush hairs pointed up in a brush holder, as water can run down into the ferrule (metal part) and damage the base. Let brushes dry completely before next use. Drying times will vary, depending on brush size and density.
- Reshape the brush to prevent splaying.
Regular cleaning will extend the life span of your brushes and provide you with cleaner, healthier makeup applications.
